Several years ago we decided to spruce-up an old canoe. Merle had some fiberglass repair experience, so we patched up the holes and thin skin spaces. We painted it with marine paint and then I added designs. The animal images are mainly Northwestern Indian designs. The one exception is the icon of the Adirondack Park Museum ‘Otter chasing a fish’ design.

Hi Jorge, I really like some of your indian designs from this older post and found it as I was looking for Chumash symbols, since we live in an area and have a tiny vineyard and wanted to make some homemade labels with symbols as we know the Chumash used to dwell here. Would you mind if we used one of your images if we gave you artist credit? We are not selling any commercially, these were just for our own use bottling our own wine for ourselves. (about 70 bottles, our first time trying). No worries if not. I really like your blog!
